The Coffee & Magic Verdict
Earl of Sandwich has always reminded us a little bit of Subway, and we mean that in a good way.
There is a proper choice of sandwiches, they are made fresh, served warm and you can customise your order on the touchscreen. Sometimes, after a few days of burgers, pizza and heavier park food, you just want a sandwich for lunch. Earl of Sandwich absolutely ticks that box for us.

The sandwiches themselves are really nice and there is enough variety that most people should find something that works. They are filling without feeling too heavy, and compared with a lot of food around Disneyland Paris, the prices are pretty reasonable too.
The only real issue for us is the location. Earl of Sandwich sits towards the far end of Disney Village, and lunchtime is probably the time of day when we are least likely to be there. Disney Village tends to be somewhere we pass through in the morning, late afternoon or evening, while at lunchtime we are normally inside one of the parks.
That means we do not eat here as often as we probably would if it were in a more convenient spot. We have still made special trips out of the parks for lunch here though, which probably says quite a lot about how much we like it.
It is particularly useful if you are walking in from one of the Disney Hotels or coming through Disney Village anyway. In that situation, it becomes one of the easiest and best-value quick meals around the resort.

What eating here is actually like
The easiest comparison for us is Subway, but a slightly more substantial Disneyland Paris version of it.
The focus is on warm sandwiches with a good variety of fillings, and ordering is straightforward through the touchscreens. One thing we really like is being able to customise the order, which makes it much easier if someone wants something removed or changed.
Sandwiches are the main reason we come here, but the menu is broader than that. There are wraps, salads, breakfast options, children's meals, desserts and pizzas as well.
The pizzas are particularly big, so they can work well if you are sharing or simply want something other than a sandwich. There are also breakfast choices, which makes Earl useful outside the obvious lunchtime slot.
There is plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. We particularly like the upstairs area because you get lovely views out over Lake Disney, which makes it a much nicer place to sit than you might expect from a quick-service sandwich shop.
It feels much more like a normal quick-service restaurant than a themed Disney dining experience, but that is not really a negative for us. Sometimes practical, quick and familiar is exactly what you want.
What we'd do
For us, Earl of Sandwich is mainly a lunchtime option.
If we happened to be passing through Disney Village around lunch, particularly if we were coming from one of the Disney Hotels, it would be an easy choice.
If we were already deep inside one of the parks, we probably would not normally make the walk unless we specifically fancied a sandwich. We have done exactly that before though, which shows how useful it is when you have had enough of burgers and pizza.
We would normally stick with one of the hot sandwiches, customise it on the touchscreen if needed and head upstairs if the ground floor was busy.
