Our verdict

One of our absolute favourites at Disneyland Paris. Phantom Manor is as much about the atmosphere as the ride itself. The quiet, eerie walk up through the grounds, the cast members staying in character and the thunder and lightning before you board all make it feel like a proper experience rather than just another attraction.

The ride itself is dark, cool and strangely relaxing. After a busy few hours walking around the parks, we genuinely love getting on, sitting back and enjoying ten minutes somewhere calm. And however many times we ride it, we still seem to spot something we've never noticed before.

It’s also one of those rides you can make your own. We play little games with the children, like counting how many times we can spot the Phantom or how many skeletons we can find.

Coffee & Magic verdict: An absolute must-do. Brilliant theming, usually a short queue and one of those attractions we could happily ride again and again.
